Within the framework of the cooperation program between the Institute of Mathematics and the Vingroup Innovation Fund (VINIF), the Big Data Research Institute (VINBDI) on training masters of science and technology in data science related disciplines and machine learning for the period 2020 – 2023, the Institute of Mathematics invites potential students to apply for the
Science Research Guidance Program for Potential Undergraduate Students at the Institute of Mathematics 2020.
1. Purpose:
Support potential students to practice scientific research under the guidance of an expert at the Institute of Mathematics.
2. Rights and obligations of students participating in the program: Benefits of students participating in the program:
– Working under the guidance of an expert at the Institute of Mathematics according to the registered field;
– Arranged desk at the Institute, provided with working conditions such as library, internet, access to MathSciNet and access to many documents and journals;
– Sponsored 11 million/student for accommodation and meals (students outside of Hanoi can be arranged accommodation) and up to 5 million/student for travel expenses;
Priority will be given to participating in the master’s and doctoral enrollment programs of the Institute of Mathematics, and priority will be given to support in applying for VINIF’s scholarships under the agreement between the two agencies.
3. Eligible subjects:
Undergraduate students majoring in Mathematics, Mathematics-Informatics or Mathematics-Mechanics or other subjects related to Mathematics across the country, who have completed at least the basic program of the first 2 years of university.
4. Working time at the Institute:
Minimum 2 months, from June 2020 to October 2020. The starting time is agreed upon by the instructor and students and approved by the Institute of Mathematics.
