In order to promote cooperation in the field of training and scientific research, on 11/10/2019, The University of Danang- University of Science and Education met and worked with the delegation from National Taiwan Normal University.
Attending the meeting, there were participants from The University of Danang – University of Science and Education including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang – Rector, Dr. Pham Quy Muoi – Head of Department of Scientific Affairs and International Cooperation as well as deans and lecturers from faculties: Faculty of Geography, Faculty of Biology and Environment, Faculty of Psychology and Education and Faculty of Physics.
In the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang expressed his happiness and honor to welcome the delegation from National Taiwan Normal University led by Prof. Hsiang–Lin Liu – Vice President for International Affairs. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang said: “This is a significant visit, helping us to better understand each other. At the same time, we can discuss intensively and realize the matters raised by both sides”.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Pham Quy Muoi gave a brief introduction on The University of Danang – University of Science and Education in the aspects: facilities, quantity and quality of lecturers, scientific research fields, the system of training programs and the future development orientation of the University.
During the meeting, the representatives from the two institutions have found a common voice on many matters such as:
- Signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two universities.
- Discussion on the content of the International Conference on “Higher Education in Vietnam and Asian countries: Similarities and Possibilities of cooperation” which is supposed to take place in 2020 at The University of Danang – University of Science and Education.
- The exchange of lecturers and students of the two universities in the coming time.
- Cooperation on training in the fields that the two universities have agreed about, typically: 2 + 2 undergraduate programs (2 years of training at The University of Danang – University of Science and Education and 2 years of training at National Taiwan Normal University) and 1 + 1 Master ‘s programs.

Prof. Hsiang-Lin Liu – Vice President for International Affairs, National Taiwan Normal University, representing the delegation expressed the gratitude to the leaders of The University of Danang – University of Science and Education for the warm welcome. Based on the results of the discussion, he expressed his desire to continue to strengthen cooperation with The University of Danang – University of Science and Education. He believed that the cooperation will not be limited to the discussed contents but will be promoted in the fields which are the strengths of the two universities.
